the eternal sword.. ( if you note the ghostly hero carries an eternal bow in some missions such as dunes)
yup its a cool sword, NOPE it does not drop in game ever...
theres a few things I think we should get the option of keeping such as the scepter of orr ( revive dead stuff and it fights for you staff skill)
slow totem ( slows enemies like 33%)ever seen chronicles of riddick? the platoon runs in... gets shot to chunks.. last guy drops the slow totem and it kicks out the holy hand grenade..
and yup the eternal sword... really nasty lookin and see through... just screams out " crap, thats gonna hurt.."
maybe some day there will be such a thing.. possibly we can get ranger offhands as well then... ( things like handfull of moss, whip, BFrock.. whatever so long as its got ene and works on beastmastery)

I had proposed using those things and adding in stuff for PVP like you've said Samueldg. Personally I agree with you.

Technically it's an axe. The Ghostly Hero uses Cyclone Axe.

Anything that isn't a player doesn't have to worry about such mundane things as weapon types having to conform to attacks. Just take a look at the trolls in the cave outside Droknar's Forge: they have hammer attack speed and use Mighty Blow, but then suddenly:
Did the trolls just swap weapon to do this? No, because he maintains his *slow* attack speed. Conclusion: NPC's/monsters don't bother with the basic game rules that we have to live by... just look at the Guild Lord.
So yes, he has a sword, no it doesn't exist for players and it probably isn't an axe.

Swords should have a spin move as well, it makes more sense than axe whirls, anyway.

Dude are you on crack?
Galrath and Final Thrust only have a swipe action.
The skill itself only attacks a single target.
Oh and Hundred Blades isn't a spin either, only has action again.
It also only strikes things infront of you. It has a basic double strike much like some fensers do.
What the above guy is saying is that the sword doesn't have an attack that attacks things around the player. Only the axe and hammer have those attacks.

Having a sword attack that could hurt all the people around you would be really nice. I can think of several times when it would come in handy. *sigh* Sadly I dont see one coming any time soon.
I have to agree though that having one of those ghostly swords would be sweet. I think im gonna put that on my Christmas wish list

You can get spins with Galrath and Final, I get it all the time. The anim isnt attached to the skill, and seems to give the spin anim more often when not used in a skill attack sequence. On crack?

If the animation is there, why don't we have a skill that effectively does just that?
Because even though sometimes (not always, mind you) the animation on final thrust or galrath's slash, is a spin, effectively they are, like the name suggests, a thrust, and a slash. Not a spin. Hundred blades hits like.. roughly 120 degrees in front of you, maybe a more, but not everyone around you.
